Default Rate my first (entire) case mod! (poll)

The Case is a CM690, I didn't do anything drastic to it, everything that was cut out was done with dremel (first time using it since it was purchased 5+ years ago), it was also my first time using acrylic, and it was the first mod i ever did in my garage (my grandfather built airplanes in there, so i assumed it would be suitable for a *simple* case mod) the inside was painted black, and i did a bit of cable management....so...without further ado...

I left the front honeycomb plastic stuff in, i just liked the look of it, although i did remove it from the top

these are pieces of aluminum cut to cover the drive bays (cut with a dremel)

I replaced the front stock switches with one of the vandals, this was my first time using bondo as well...

dirty finger prints all over, but you get the general idea.

I hope you guys like it, and if you want to see more pics, i can take some later

almost forgot a night shot...

ill take some right after this

as far as cable management, im just surprised they all fit in the tiny hole the cm690 comes stock with...i sorta wish i had explored that before i painted it, would've cut it larger

first a general shot, things are a little crowded behind the drive bay, the external usb and hi-def audio ports make up alot of the mess around there, plus that darn fan controller with temp diodes...The ribbon ide is for my creatove X-fi i/o drive...it's the only ide that would work with it for whatever reason, awfully ugly, but i cant live without it!

you can also see i painted the inside black, and certain little things here and there i touched up with green (beats the ugly stock blue!)

total mess in the back, but it's better than having it crowd the front!

just a closer look at the mess that the drive bays cant seem to hide :-P
may have to cut the back side out of one of them so i can run the cables through it...

There is always something to improve, this is a good first modd. The cable management around the drive bays is always a bit messy if you have may components (especially PATA devices)

Default not great cable management

it is a pretty good mod but the cable management is at most average. why don't you drill some holes to make awesome cable management.

yeah if i would've done everything that i initially wanted to with this case, it would still be unpainted and id still be looking for a powder coater

spray paint was a little bit of a hassle, but the light headed-ness and relaxing feeling that it produced, made it all worth it!
