personal prefernce is a jigsaw much easier, with the appropriate blades! but then again if you don't have a jigsaw but have a dremel, use the dremel and vice versa

Looking at a window, you'll want a piece of acrylic around the size you want Some #4301 (Or similar, I got 4011 and it's just a smaller roll but same stuff) 3M [Scotch] Mounting Tape Square /w Ruler for lining up your template [Optional] Dremel [Or something to make the first incision] Jig Saw [To cut the template out or you can use a dremel for the entire thing.] A Pack of Jig Saw Blades [Most Jig Saws only come with a single wood-cutting blade] Safety Glasses Hand File U-Channel Rubber Molding [Might be difficult to find. Mine was part of a big door-building set but some kid had cut 2 strips off the giant main strip so the store gave the strips to me for free! <3] A Jig Saw will be much easier to use with a Dremel, however I'm sure a dremel is much more precise. Just take your time with the Jig Saw and you should be fine, and you can get a decent Jig Saw cheaper than a Dremel anyways. |

3m's 4010 tape is the way to go. Stick and forget. Hold 10lbs. Which you will never need for a window, but its nice to know it wont just fall out.
A jigsaw with 18tpi ( teeth per inch ) should be good enough. At walmart you can get a jigsaw for about $35 with $10 pack of blades. About the same total price for a dremel. Just make sure you have a way to start the hole. If you go the dremel route, you going to need the really good cutting wheels or a 20 pack of the ok stuff. They wear out fast, and it takes a long time. Took me 3 hours of patient cutting to do the dremel only window. Then again I was cutting a brushed aluminum side panel, so any imperfections are obvious. Last thing, make sure you have a file. A file is a must have even if your using c channel to cover your cut. It will help let it lay flatter and takes off all the random crap left after the cut.
