Before you start, make sure you controller can take the combined wattage from the 4 fans on a single rail.

Cut 3 out of 4 red wires and make them one and put some heatshrink around.
Do the same for the black wires.

Now you should end up with a single plug for 4 fans.

Controlling 6 fans with a 6 fan Zalman controller with no problems.

Now to just reduce the air resistance, cutting the stock grills maybe?

I use a Vantec Nexus NXP-205 fan controller which controls 4 fans and allows 18w per channel so is fine for most fans. Best thing is that it fits in a floppy bay instead of 5.25 bays.
