I posted pics somewhere of my mods to the drive bays. Rather than using the included 3-bay drive housings, I turned my drives sideways, and opened up the back (I guess technically right) side mounting plate so that power/sata cables could pass through. Yeah, you could mount the drives backwards but then the cables hinder airflow a little and you still have to get them back around the front edge of the case. This way, they are complete hidden in the right side cover..

Make sense?

I'll see if I can find a pic, otherwise, I'll take and post some more. I have the rig pulled apart right now while I switched to SSD, and as I'm thinking of pulling it out of the 1200 anyway. I can easily put in a couple of drives and take pictures, however..

Couldn't find the pics, so took a couple more. Rig is in pieces while I work on RAM issues, but you get the idea..

Gives you tons of room that would otherwise be taken up by the 3.5->5.5" brackets. If I had to do it again, I would move the drives further forwards..

If you're referring to my drives, the point is that once the case is buttoned up, the drives are gone! No cables - power or SATA - visible or in the way of the airflow, and they are completely hidden behind the side plate..
