Well quite a few stuff I want to do with my case still , but i would like to get my system up and running. What do you guys do for temporary fixes. Just lay the mobo on something cardboard (with or without standoffs) and put everything together and run it that way? I won't be able to put anything in the case for a while, still a few more mods I have to do. And want to sell my current rig for the extra cash for a few more things I need for this system. Thanks, rep for pics of your temporary solutions

Standoffs aren't needed if it's resting on cardboard. The whole point of motherboard standoffs is to avoid contact with the case (short circuit), and of course, to ground the motherboard. Since a cardboard box is definitely not conductive, you'll be fine without them.
__________________It also helps prevent any accidents (the very thing you are trying to do), since the motherboard won't be wobbly when resting on the cardboard.
