I want to build rig with low noise and yet acceptable airflow.
This is my minor Cosmos 1000 mod: ![]() I have found the way to install fourth CM fan into VGA AIRDUCT as you can see on the pic marked with *. I might go with single panaflo 120x38mm ultra quite for the megahalem but this is it for now. It is pretty much quite and has a good airflow without dead spots. I am thinking to drill a 140mm hole on the door, in front that 5.25" bays, but I don't have tools and that hole saw yet ![]() My configuration is in my sig. You are welcome with any comments and suggestions... Thanx EDIT: I have new solution: ![]() ![]() If anybody know CFM for ATI 5870 that would be nice. Thanx

That's actually a nice way to alleviate the lack of airflow in that case. Good stuff.

9 fans....
Even if you have low speed 20db fans, You're looking at a combined 35+db which is far from silent. I'd suggest lots of sound deadening. Either spray on rubberized car undercoating, or some heavy sound dampening foam from some place like Partsexpress.com

[QUOTE=Damir Poljak;7433514]That looks awesome! Was it easy to drill that hole on the door? What fans are you using?
