Hey guys, I just finish painting the inside of my case with a high gloss finish that I bought @ Home Depot. The paint is not flame proof, doesn't have a "500*F" rating or logo. My question is, if a short circuit occurred will my case catch on fire?

While paint is flammable, the amount of heat it would take to start it would mean that computer is already on fire.
As Syrillian said, you'll be fine.

he asked if there was a short circuit, implying an arc or sparks, which could easily set off a fire in an otherwise perfectly fine case. normal pc heat wont be a problem. all I can say is make sure you dont do anything retarded to risk any sparks inside your case

Does it also say, until dry? From what i know, it will only burn if its wet.

I have never seen this happen.
Paranoia is not necessarily a "bad" thing. Like Fear, it is a usable survival tool when combined with logic and sensibility.... In short, "Don't worry, be happy". Your PC will not spontaneously combust. Just make certain that all connections are correct and any electrical mods are not half-assed.

Yes, once dry, your paint is fine. Anything flammable volatilizes.
