Default Lian Li V2010b mod - ideas ?

Hey all,

As of the end of the HSC (end of school exams in NSW Australia) i have a project of my case.....
I finish the HSC on the 5th - but as of the end of todays exam i have nothing till next tuesday - so i thought i would get started.

So far my case looks like this: 2 images will be slow to load - host is having issues.....

So far i just downloaded googles sketch up nad made some quick sketches of possibilities that i have internal wise.
the sketch in the background is my current layout basically

not sure on the quad rad at the top either....

Im thinking of either black, red or a combo inside
Sig rig will be going in there
i have an idea for a res made from some tubing wound around a CCFL to look cool also.
Will have lighting in there also - like a pinstripe sized led strips or similar/underboard lighting i hope.....

HDD space - i only have 2 drives atm (looking for another to add to my raid)
and i have the 5 3/4" drive bay adapter thing

im not sure about single/dual loops yet - will be WC'ing the CPU at least
chipset maybe nad depending on what gfx cards i get possibly them also (if i get 2 5870s i will - or a 5900....hmm)

the board im using dosent have any high heatsinks on it - the ram is the first tall thing (about 1cm from the top edge of the board) (for top rad)

Any further ideas or comments at this stage ?

the custom res sounds like a great idea, and as for dual vs single loop it just depends on which components you end up picking. If you end up doing multiple gpu's i would opt for giving them their own loop. Otherwise a single loop would be fine for cpu+nb+gpu. and i would just throw a triple rad in the top and another triple in the bottom just like your sketch. should give you PLENTY of cooling no matter what setup you use

well thats the design of the case.....overkill

thinking maybe getting a HD59** when it comes out - or dual 5870s ($$$ permitting)
Will be doing CPU defiantly - not sure with the rest of the board, 790FX is rather cool......mofets have never been hot on this board either

bump?

I got some more ideas from the OCAU forum - they said about *everyone* getting black/red internally painted - and suggested polishing it to a mirror (mobo tray mainly)

I like the idea......

Move the HDD's to the 5 1/4 bays, and mount a quad in the bottom.

I love the look of a red interior on a black case, but IMO It'd look odd on such a simple, classy case. I'd go Satin black for the majority, but with red accents. Like the 5 1/4 bay shroud made with red acrylic.
