I just purchased the Dremel 300 with accessories here:
http://doitbest.com/Main.aspx?PageID...paign=DATAFEED I know MNPCTech has the correct cutting discs here: http://www.mnpctech.com/DremelDisc.html but shipping alone is $10 which kills. Where do you guys buy your dremel discs to cut through Aluminum cases? I don't want to go out and buy the wrong type, so I'm hoping for some advice from the experts. Thanks

home depot and lowes stocks the disks locally
there are 1.5" reinforced cutting disks for metal, and for plastics, and both come in ezlock systems (highly recommended). They sell an ezlock starter kit which has the ez lock mandrel and 5 disks for metal I bought a 20 pack of metal disks and accidentally bought the ones that were not ezlock

These are the ones everybody uses:1-1/4" Reinforced Cutting Disks @ Lowes
Also available at Home Depot, Sears, Walmart, Ace, etc. You can look at all of the above places for the Al Ox ones but, meh -you really won't notice that much of a difference. You should have an assortment that came with your 300 -similar to This just try some of those out and buy more of the ones you like the most of! (Don't forget to pick up safety glasses, dust mask and earplugs Cheers ![]() [edit] as CR said - get the EZ-lock Mandrel KIT it makes life sooo much easier. then you can try out: Dremel 1-1/2" EZ Lock Thin Cut Dremel 5-Pack 1-1/2" Metal Cut-Off Wheels

BLEH! shattering blades of death...
NEVER will i ever use those damn things again... whoever thought a screw is a great way to attach a cutoff wheel should be beaten to death by a 100 one-eyed hobbyists... Buy one of these... Never break a blade again... and change them in half a second... The hub is spring loaded, so even if you screw up the blade stays true...

Ok, thanks guys. I ordered EZ Lock Mandrel Kit and a 5-pack of 1-1/2" metal cut-off wheels from Lowes. Hopefully that should last me for a couple months. Thanks again, and
+ to all

sweet.
another thing I highly recommend, if you find yourself modding a lot, or using youre dremel a lot, is the Flexishaft attachment for it (if you dont already have it) I never use a dremel without it, period
