reversing them to the back side for cable management. the only prob i see is the plugs wont quite line up right but im sure adapters can be made. desoldering plugs and putting them on the back of the mobo would pritty much eliminate the need for cable management.
any ideas or feedback post it here.

I've thought about it, but I wouldn't be brave enough to do it first, hehe.

You'd have to molesterize the mobo tray, too, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You'd have to ensure you kept the pinout right, tho, and that would be a PITA. I suggest making a small harness out of three inch chunks of wire, all color-matched to those of the PSU cable, to ensure that you don't -beep- up the pinout and totally destroy the mobo.
Edit: And test it on an old Dell you garbage picked first.

I remember VCheez doing this on his project flow. I'll see if I can find a link.
EDIT: It was SNiiPE, not VCheez. Photos here: http://www.overclock.net/case-mod-wo...-v2110-18.html ~the 5th photo. He didn't reverse the plug, he just soldered the wires onto the back of the board, and made an adapter. I reckon it would look better leaving the plug where it is, rather than having pins sticking out of the front of the board.
