oh....i've decided to post up pics step by step of my cable management. I'll dismantle everything and try again and show you guys what i did.

i would suggest that you put the optical drive in the bottom slot.
i did this and it allowed my to easier hide my ide cable.

not to mention that it looks sleeker from the front when it is in the bottom slot.

nice. i'll try that but i hate the fact that i even use IDE cables to begin with. without that nonsense my rig looks semi-killer-ish
