Hi,
Is there a sprayable product (or even applying by brush, I don't really care) that would be suitable to "paint" a very simple PCB with hardly any components on it? I'm building a big HDD cage with SAS backplanes and their yucky green-ness is not the most appealing: ![]() Black would be sweet ![]() These are the backplanes I'll be using. I've read several times that painting a motherboard was a big no-no but this is far from being as complex as a motherboard. The harddrive side of it actually looks like it's been varnished ...

One of the common methods for insulating to prepare for Dice and LN2 runs is to use nail polish. That should work pretty well here too.

From what I've seen, black nail polish often has a matte finish.

yeah, paint and test.
I bought 4 spare backplanes right from the start in case one came in faulty or I'd break one.

Quick question for xxbassplayerxx
How many bottles do you recon I'll need for the area I need to cover? We're looking at 14x 1.25"x4.25" (see screenshot above)

Lol.
No idea. Send a PM to pretty much any of the guys that post in the Dice/LN2 section and ask them. I'm still working on getting the stuff I need for that kind of thing.
