Default Acrylic build, need some info

I plan on making a Acrylic PC (small case just big enough to house the size of graphic card, psu, hardrive pump and res) I need ideas, specs or any cases that have been made for something like this.

Would Homedepo have the acrilic I need and other parts?

Thansk for the info, if it is within a good budget and parents allow it, I will go through with it.

This is sick! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26um%3D1

This is basiclly what I'm looking for If I can build one: http://www.mountainmods.com/bob-slay...ase-p-276.html

Why won't it work? Has to fit a 5870 NVM, it is 11.11" long so it will work.

Can't help you on a design, but I can make a suggestion on where to buy materials (the acrylic, at least):
https://www.delviesplastics.com

They have some really good prices for acrylic sheets. 90 degree brackets, nuts, bolts, screws and adhesive you'll find at your nearest Home Depot/Lowes... whatever. As long as you know what you're doing and have the materials, you can build some fantastic stuff out of acrylic:

I have no clue how I am going to build any of this since I only have a table saw and a drill.

If I had plans to follow or someone builds me the parts, that I can do. I really want that Bob Slay case style but seeing as my first time, don't think I will be very successful.

There are numerous acrylic guides on OCN. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Our resident acrylic experts, Syrillian and CyberDruid, also welcome PMs regarding acrylic and will respond to your questions when they have the time.

You aren't going to save money by building it yourself. If you like the Bob Slay, then I recommend you buy one of those.

Acrylic isn't very cheap, and if you need to buy tools that will cost as much as if not more than the acrylic. If you were to use your table saw, you would need a proper blade with a high tooth count- that will cost at least $50. A 4.5" hole saw and arbor will cost $30-$50. Once you throw in all the little stuff like the cost of screws, case feet, switches, etc. you're looking at a couple hundred dollars easily.

One last thing you must take into consideration before starting a project like this is that it is going to take a lot of time. Building an acrylic case will likely cost more in time and labor than the combined cost of materials and tools.

Table saw is real important, you'll also want a MAPP gas torch to flame-treat the edges (removes the saw marks, restores the edge surface to a polished look), there are guides for this if you search on the forums.

My Greenie-poo build was pretty basic, if you need some ideas.
