So the simplified version of his guide goes like this??(for most of us who aren't using color shifting paint):
1.strip paint 2. sand with 4 different grit papers, going from low grit to high grit 3.wipe with alcohol and a rag 4.Heat up primer can in hot water, then do 4 (assuming your case isn't textured) coats of primer. allow coat one to dry overnight, give the other 3 1hr each 5. Wet sand with 1000 grit (allow to dry) 6. Apply as many coats of base color as you feel happy with, when the last has dried sand with 800grit then 1000 wet. (allow to dry) 7. do three light clear coats, allow to fully dry between each coat. Is this right? It's just that your guide seems different to what i've seen other people do, and I wanna lay this out nice and clear so I can compare with others. Thanks

Surfer nailed it. As it is an art form some people can throw down a perfect primer coat on the first try. As for clear coat thicker looks slicker said Sam I am .

I am actually considering a new build... so I guess I could buy an Armor case now and do the painting while I save up for parts! Rep+ for you my friend! Thanks so much for the awesome guide!

It really is an amazing guide...
I have one question though... do you think painting an Armor would be difficult with some of the curves on it? Is there a technique for getting an even coat around those edges? Or just keep on doing very very light coats and try not to let it pool on those edges? I've never spray painted anything but my last year's Halloween costume.. lol I had to spray paint some black rubber boots yellow to complete my transformation into Hulkamania

Nothing that is rubber will hold paint. The rubber will stay wet for a million years. It is odd but I remmeber doing it as a kid and getting paint on my hands hours after painting it.
