looks great if you add fans on the top of the rad for pull action....to get some negative pressure...but the top execution of air through slots on the sides....that my create harmful pressure within the box messing up air flow...but if you think of it this way... add 2 inch jump on the bottom...and a 2.5inche gap on the top...thatd be fine.

Thanks for the posts guys! Dang Shawn--that looks like one of my drawings--same fill and everything--that's spooky. Looks like slide out trays on that design. Well I will build it--and the parts will come... just like Field of Dreams (can't stand Kevin Costner) lol. How many computers can we fit in one box...I like it!

Looks like a good design, and like you have it with tha fans on the bottom that will help keep it quiet...But you will want some decent-high flow fans, i reccomend the Nidec betaV, its 120mm rated at 110cfm and only 48db... But beware of dust bunny galore with the fans at the bottom by the floor! LOL

![]() Well, as to how many computers, what are the dimensions of the box going to be?

Gonna have to use a filter for sure--good golly 110 CFM--which would be louder 4 120mm Panaflo mediums or 1 of those bad boys? Volume volume volume...Man I hate fan noise. But it is the cheapest way to get started. I happen to have a pair of 110VAC 120mm Daytons that push 78 CFM according to the labels--they make some noise--but they are rated for something like 75,000 hours. One less draw on the PSU that way...

Well the problem is I'm too tired to fire up ACAD and do it to scale--I have a feeling that once the PSUs are mounted and the HDDs are mounted and the HS or WBs are mounted or plumbed that big old spcae in the center is gonna look pretty small--gotta get some air up through the rad too...unless its all air...I'm gonna mock up a mobo with cardboard complete with HS spacer so as to be able to physically fiddle with arrangement before gluing the footstool case up. I'm used to working from patterns to make stuff sit in boats--so that's easiest for me...then I'll have a better idea how to layout the rig trays do all the stuff can be properly mounted and removable. I like the idea that I could start with one board ad then add the others as I go along. But all the layouts and placement will have to be dialed in beforehand to make everything work out. Pretty curious about how this is going to work out--let you know more tomorrow after the dust settles....
