Dammit man it's one thing after another with the WaterClocker..keep getting Stop Errors--corrupted files...the wireless network on the aircooled dualcore is buggy now--shuts down after a few minutes--so network resources are out...makes DLing some DV from the cam impossible right now. Been troubleshooting it for hours now. When I use Windows M it tells me an Ahead file is corrupt--I'm like why should that matter--apparently Nero OWNs my capture card...lol so I guess until I do some work on the WC rig or find the camera I'm stuck. I took the DVD drive out and out and put it in the dualcore build--so no FDD or ODD on the WC rig at the moment--more parts swapping ahead I see. So much for SW related PC isues....

On the bright side...

Box looks good this morning--glue is dry so I can sand it now. Raining--so no work until that clears--glad I brought it in the house last night!

This is the first PC case I think my Wife likes...it's going to be a neat piece of furniture.

I wonder how long a PC would hold up living outside on the porch (no direct rain--just a lot of humidity)--instead of a FootStool it could be an end table.
Noise would not be an issue then--instead of a seat top I could make a table top....we have a small downstairs area (650) and 3 PCs already--adding 4 more might bring the humming sound too much into focus in our living space.

Kinda like the idea of an outside computer (like an outside cat or dog lol)

The only problem with the splitter is the length of the cables, 6 inches isn't very long but you could make by placing the boards in the correct spots so it reaches.

The box is larger than I was thinking, plenty of room in there.

Yeah and it's a little tall for a seat or footstool--me thinks an end table (and no uphosltery--maybe tile?

Here's a quick sketch of how the top will finish out--I'll try and work on that in a few when the T-storms pass through--a little wet right now.

Okay severe T-storms literally scared some poop out of the dog today--prolly not the best time to be running power tools--but hey!

Here is a short snip of video (still no camera) showing the top--a few details remain in the actual box-part...but nothing that should keep me from starting the metal work on the interior--too bad I do not have a spare microATX (preferable dead) to help layout the tray...sure I'll be ably to find the technical data on that online though...

EDIT: Guys I'm sorry these videos are so slow to load (at least on my internet connection) just want to document the build--I'll have a camera by the weekend...

I can attest for the 2.85 magical barrier for AMDs. When I hit 2.5 from 2.4, my WU production skyrocketed....From 1 WU/2 days to 1WU/day...It is a big jump.

Hey Burn what would you reccomend for affordable hardware to fill Crunch? I would prefer dual core for obvious reasons, but I am open to alternatives...
