And it is a CHEAP case--like 54 or 45 dollars--can't remember. Takes an ATX PSU--has removable HDD and FDD cages--so it is possible to squeeze a Rad in there...hmmmm.
Yeah I like the copper contrasting against the green...that Zalman is purty. Got a Hauppauge PVR 250 in there (thanks Tylor360 !) and a wireless card--thinking I will put an AIW 1900 in there and use the H card elsewhere--that way I could use the box for games as well...the intel 950 graphics acellerator is a bare minimum kinda thing (like 2-3 FPS...LOL) It's fairly light and portable and since it's cheap I don't mind banging it up a little dragging it around places with me. I think a 5" LCD on the top would be usefull for the recording studio finction...been dying to do an LCD mod for a while... stay tuned! And a happy 4th of july in advance--I am leaving tomorrow and won't be back for ten or so days... Peace and out! CyberD

MNPCtech.com Some decent shirts can be had from J!NX and from FrozenCPU--got a funny one with the typical mistranlated English instructions for some mystery installation of a cryptic PC part. J!NX specializes in nothing but T-shirts and stickers for Gamers, Geeks and Hackers... Got one coming that sez: The Sun is Trying to Kill Me! Thanks again for the compliments guys...

Okay it's been a while and I have found some more things to do to the Centurion...
Besides making it glow like a Casino on the strip I decided the airflow in the case needed some help. One of the nice features of the Centurion is the removable HDD and FDD bays. Unforunately there is no nice way to mount a HDD in the FDD bay..but if you just slide it in it fiits pretty snug even without fasteners. By reloacting the HDD up into the FDD bay and removing the HDD cage I was able to make room for a 120mm fan in front of the Zalman cooler. Without removing the cage I could have shoe-gorned a 90mm onto the top of the cage--but I needed to remove the cage to mod the front fan somewhat. For some onknown reason CM decided to make mounting holes for a 120mm front fan which is great--but they did not preforate the entire opening for the fan--ot great--so the fan not only is stifled by a small opening, but the way it is mounted makes any fan really noisy if turned up more than halfway. Using some 1 1/2" # 8 nuts and bolts I space the fan about a 1/4" away from the fornt panel--this cut down on the noise and increased the amount of air I could feel coming off the back of the fan. I rerouted the round IDE cables and used the shortest ones I could find (10"). The air now has a clear shot all the way through the case and out the back--unfortunately the rear panel is too narrow for a 120mm fan--so I am stuck using two 80mm--but the perforations and stamped grill are properly made-and the noise and flow are normal. Pictures to follow (server is actng wierd again)
