I was wondering if someone could tell me how to make my java programs into a standalone/executable program. I have both eclipse and netbeans and I cannot seem to figure it out on either of them. Thanks for any help.

Thanks mate. I'll give it a go. I still need to write the code though. I want it to be able to run on both a windows and unix/linux machine, I think that can be done with the .jar file but not sure. If not it'll be easy to port it over. Thanks again.

I was in the EXACT same boat as you when I wrote a solver for Sudoku puzzles. I ended up using this guy and it worked GREAT! Look up NativeJ. I believe they have a free trial and it works wonderfully. You select which classes you want to include, along with your main class and it bundles it into a standalone exe.
