Agreed.

Looks like you want to pad the remaining with spaces
for (int y = star; y < largest; y++)
temp = temp + " ";


or simple add the increment of 'star' into your while loop with brackets.

Thanks, thats what I was trying to use. Can't figure it out on my linux machine. Might just wait till I get to school and then run it on windows since the directions seem like they work then.
