Whats the best c++ you can get I was told that devC++ and bloodshedC++
__________________are the best dont know why, what are the difference i'm a noob in programming and whats a good compiler. Is eclipse any good for java if you heard of it. Thanks alot.

For c++ i personally use devC++ and i like it. For java, i dont know.

I'm pretty sure Cygwin is the default compiler, but you can switch it to Mingw...
Eclipse is a good java IDE, a tad big for anything I'd be doing. JCreator is a good for programming....

devC++ is very good. I swore by it through university.
Eclipse is great for java, lots of plugs for different application development...swing, web app - tomcat, etc. A pig of an IDE is IBM RAD 6, which is based from eclipse along with the websphere web server (also big $$)...man if you don't have at least 2gb of ram, all hell breaks loose! lol
