I was wondering what everyone here enjoyed using as their editor for programming purposes. I'm in the mood to change from just a straight text editor, but I wasn't sure what everyone else has used. I've used UltraEdit and have liked it.

In Windows, I use notepad++, a free programming editor with syntax highlighting for many programming languages. It's all I really need. I used to use 1st page 2000 and notepad2 until I found this app.

In Linux, I've been using either gedit or bluefish.

I go high class Visual Studio 2005 and Dreamweaver.

For java, I use Eclipse.
Everything else, either Kate or VIM.

Visual Studio can't be beat if you are doing any VB, C#, asp due to their awesome intellitext - I love it for html and css for the same reason as well. Notepad++ is a nice compact tool also.

For C# i use Visual Studio 2005, for almost everything else I use UltraEdit.

Dreamweaver for me. Also have Visual Studio, but mostly use Coldfusion so it's Dreamweaver for me.
