I accidentally saved a file I was working on as a Bitmap, instead of JPEG. Someone tell me how to recover it as a JPEG, nothing will open it, so a program or anything would be awesome!

Almost anything should open a bitmap, there is something wrong with your file if paint or photoshop won't open it.

irfanview just open it and then convert it to what you want. irfanview FTW its one of the very few things i miss about winblowz

Just go download GIMP.

If you get an error message while opening it in paint then it is obviously not a standard Bitmap image.

Paint doesn't open JPEG the last time i checked.

BUT you CAN "save as" extensions other than .bmp

use whatever program you saved it as a bmp and then save it as a jpg from there
