It's been bugging me for a while now....I've always wanted windows to run a part of a program....I mean just opening a program like lets say in scheduled tasks is nice...but it doesn't actually do anything...Is it scripting, or do you actually have to edit the program itself? Or is there a way to send an automated signal to the event listeners in said program?

If I understand what you mean, you want to launch part of a software, but remember, only thing that can be launched are either .exe or .bat
So what you can try to do is to go to system tools/task scheduler, and add a task, do browse or whatever you can click to manually search, and just find the .exe or .bat you want to schedule, schedule its start, and you are all set. I'm on Vista so I cannot be more accurate...

Can you be more specific on what you are trying to accomplish?

on topic: an example of what I'm asking is lets say you open bittorent, and then have a script or something that executes the start download without you actually having to click the gui.
