Are special characters defined as !@#$%^&*()?

Are there more?

ASCII doesn't make it as easy as a-z, A-Z, and 0-9 with those special characters because they are not in order.

This I don't know for sure, a random Google search to the U of Wisconsin website turns up this:

"Any of the standard printable ASCII characters except white space, with ASCII codes between 33 and 126 inclusive, are allowed in passwords. Thus, all of these special characters are allowed in passwords:
!"# $%& '() *+, -./ : ;<=>?@ [\]^_` {|}~ "

From a guide on creating passwords on the UW system.

I would think anything with a printable symbol on a standard keyboard would be allowed.

Gah... thats make adding special characters more tedious.

the bug everyone is reporting when they put in a good lenght and no to all the questions happens when you do this:
for(i = 0; i < password_lenght; i++)
password[i] = rand( )% (random_range);
when all of the questions are no the random_range int is 0 meaning the rand function has a range of 0-0, this must cause a crash in the rand() function
