Default gif xss?

I am testing my site for exploits and holes. It is composed of a single index page with a link to a remote gif via <img src="http://remotesite/remoteimage.giif" />. What could I do to the gif to cause changes on the index? htaccess redirect? Name what types of attacks can be done with this modyfing the remote image. Thanks.
