Default Anyway to make a script that'll utilize my modem to call a list of phone numbers?
I'm the housing assistant at my dorm, and we need to put out a message to all residents. Is there any way to automate this process with my computer?

I think my friend did something like this once with hyperterminal and a list of numbers. Could somebody show me how to do this? Thanks

What are you going to do when you call them? Talk? Leave a message? Hangup? Those kinds of questions should be answered before designing the calling script because you have to handle those types of cases. Are you leaving an automated message/recording? Are you actually talking to them? Account for variable call length... Need more details I guess....

Hmm...sounds like wardialing to me haha.

Are you planning to use skype or something like that? You might be able to make a script or maybe just a macro to do it.

Wardialing? Hmmm, never heard of that lol.

Not everyone in the building has Skype, so that's probably not a viable option. I could just announce a hall meeting, but hall meetings haven't been too successful as most people just skip out on them.

Again, I don't know if this is possible, but could I do this with HyperTerminal? If not, I'll just resort to going door to door this upcoming week. Thanks

But I'd say just go lo-tech. Just print out copies of the information and slip it under doors.
