Default can someone edit this.

Could someone edit a standalone exe file to read and extract jpeg files it already reads .png files

you cant edit an exe. you can only decompile it , get the source code and then recompile after editing it. so unless you have the source code its a difficult task.

since you don't have the source code you'll need somebody who knows assembly to edit it.

For one. Its a bad idea to post a standalone .EXE file on any site for one it could contain a virus. Only person willing to do this for you would be someone who trusts you.

I wouldnt open that .EXE if you payed me to!

you dont open it you drag and drop a .ic file on to it it reads and extracts the.png images from it

Why would they?

Anyway, you had a really roundabout solution to this. Instead of just batch converting the PNGs to JPGs, you wanted someone to edit the extracting software to save to JPG...?
