First off, I'm sorry if this question doesn't belong here.

I'm a total noob, i haven't ever programmed in my life

I'm just wondering, how I would be able to create my own website? I'm trying to make one for my cousin's restaurant. I might be able to get a P4 server, would that help at all? Thanks for helping me!

You wouldn't need your own server, a web host would be your best bet.

If you want to build one from scratch, you would need to learn some HTML and CSS, at the very minimum. I'm pretty sure there are some low-cost and free HTML hosts out there, but I'm don't know what they are.

You could also try something like Weebly if you don't want to code anything. My sister has used this before and it works pretty good.

They will give you a free server with a free sub-domain and hosting plan including PHP and MySQL.

If you are going to hard code the site yourself, I recommend learning HTML, CSS, and PHP. Those are the core languages needed to make a good site.

W3Schools is the best place to learn the languages mentioned above. Keep in mind, to test HTML and CSS, you do not need a server, but the moment you move on to PHP, you NEED A server.

You upload the scripts and files you want to the server via cpanel or FTP. Then you go to your domain in a web browser.

I just use Wix then cpoy and paste the code where it's going to be hosted.
