I have 4rigs running in my house..no more room for additional f@lders.

I think rather than getting a couple a few Quad s we go with a decent sized PS3 cluster. They may have a lesser PPD but the fact they pump out WU fairly fast makes up for it. Especially when you have multiple on the go.

Or we could go one better if all goes well and get a couple of Quads and a cluster of PS3's lol

This is definitely still on! Sorry for the delays guys.

It looks like we have enough initial support to start with this project. Hopefully we will get more once we start.

I will create a subforum in the Folding forum for discussions about this. I suggest we allow one week for members to submit funds. From there, as a group, we can decide on how to best spend those funds.

Next steps coming soon...

I hate to be a fuddy duddy but, if it's going to be PS3's then I don't want to contribute.

It's just a thing I have about Sony and I will not support them anymore after buying their products for years.
I got jerked around by them at first, lied to and then ripped off by them that took 4 months to get straight.
They don't support customers, only want your money and nothing else.
All over a camera and lens adapter.

They've lost my business forever and I won't ever buy from them again.
What other folks want to buy is their choice and I'll not hold them at fault.

Now if you want to build budget folding computers I can get behind that.

It's up to the contributers to determine how we spend the funds.

You could earmark your contributions to a non-PS3 box if you wanted.
