If you miss the financial deadline and you're accepting part donations...will that count towards a postbit upgrade? If so, I got some that you can have.

I am pretty sure the contributions will be on-going. No set deadline I hope. Probably have an initial buy, then as contributions come in, purchase more hw.

Donations are ongoing - but we will set a deadline for the initial round of contributions in order to establish a group of people that will decide on exactly what hardware we will purchase - with the support of the community of course

I have an e4400 that I have lying around that I am willing to donate to this cause

I'm serious about this, since I was just thinking about giving it away or selling it for cheap today.

Is this acceptable or should I sell it and then donate cash?

this is a great idea, i am willling to contribute, i just need to set up a paypal account, and does the money go right to an OCN account? or a special one for this project, i would love to know so i could help out. I just havent done a donation to OCN yet as i just got my credit card.
