Yeah, looks like we will have to wait until the points get finalized.

Indeed. Their site says that the GPU2 with be worth more than SMP though.

Its looking that way

Luckily for us it'll give us more time to come up with a revised and better plan of action for this particular project. In the event that the points remain the same:

1. Add a 8800 GT or GS to the Quad (if budget permits).
2. Drop the two PS3's and build another Quad + 8800 GT or GS.
3. Drop a PS3 and add 2x 8800 GT or GS to the Quad.

What do you guys think?

If nvidia can utilize multiple cards we may change things even more. As of right now, I think the best route would be to get a quad and a 8800GT or GS.

That is the current setup that I'm running, according to fahmon, I'm getting 7300 to 7400 PPD per rig.

Edit: With this new GPU2 client, I think we should ditch the PS3's.

Any chance that building another similar setup and dropping the PS3's would be optimal?

I say we drop the PS3 and the quad cpus. Why not just get some cheap duel cores and two GPUs in each computer?
