Ya them 511's are not good. I've gotten a few of them, one after the other, on both my cards. The 98gt handles them well enough at about 3.4hours but my 96 tanks with them for about 5 1/2 hours each. I like them 384s, the 98gt does them in under 1h50m. Time to get off my butt and send in my gpu for the gtx+ upgrades.

gibby, what kind of HDDs would you need for the community project? is IDE ok? or sata preferred?

Sata is preferred. Some of these boards only have one IDE connection, and I use an IDE optical drive for setup. I don't want to have to mess with the jumpers and set up master and slave on the h/d's. So, sata is preferred, less hassle.

Yes, It hasn't been sent for RMA yet. Still need to discuss this with Admin.

Well, I'm all set for the RMA, I will be sending the board out on Monday.

Side note. I was able to get alot more points out of the rig. I switched to the latest drivers, and started using dummy plugs. Getting right around 13k PPD.

Hey gibby, I've been eyeing those 8800GSs that Nitteo has up in the for sale section $66 ea shipped... pretty good deal, solid folding cards... anything in the budget to pick spme up off him, maybe he'll even cut the prices for the cause...

I don't know if Admin is ready to start buying for the next build or not. I think we should wait and get the second rig up and running really strong before we start shopping for the third rig.
