Thanks for the info. As of now, all of my rigs and the Community Project only fold GPU. If you ask any of the huge farmers out there(Nitteo, Knitelife, Buick, Markt, etc. etc), I bet you will find the same. The reason being, once you get several machines, you don't want stability issues. For the most part SMP folding is stable, but every now and again it will throw a curve ball at you. For the most part, GPU folding is very stable(if you get it configured right, and run stock). So, that's why I don't fold SMP, it's just too big of a head ache with a lot of rigs.

Also, you don't want anything taking away processes from the GPU folding. The SMP client will do that as well. Of course you can set priority and such, but it still takes a little hit.

Needless to say. In my opinion(when folding with several machines), it's just not worth it to fold SMP with GPU. Especially with 4 cards in each machine.

Are you actually taking donations in the form of parts yet?

Because if you are I'll ship you...

Two...BFG 260GTX 216sp Maxcore 65nm
less than two months old, they were folding in my AMD rig this past week.

One...Corsair 750TX 750w PSU
less than nine months old, same rig as above.

One...Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe
one year old this month, same rig as above.

One...AMD x2 6000+
same age as mobo, same rig as above.

One...DVD reader
age I'll have to check that and manifacturer later.

Edit...The heck with it I added the modo, cpu, I also have a working DVD reader.

I can only afford to fold on one rig, besides I have three BFG GTX 192sp leftover from my sig if I ever wanted to set up another folding rig. I never sell anything, I usually give things to my friends but they can....( insert word here ) themselves.

Hi gibsonnova74

Figured I'd ask...
did you ever get in touch/reply from Admin about my offer?

Wondering

Off Topic...Do you actually own a '74 Nova? I do seem to remember a dealership by that name.

Hello Nova,

Yes I did get in touch with admin. The problem is that I would like to relocate the Community Project from my home to another location. We can definitely use your hardware, but we need to find a new location for it. I will be moving the current Community Project in a few months. As soon as we find some where else to store it, I will let you know and you can ship it there. Once again, thanks for your contribution!

To answer your question, I do own a 74 nova. I think I have a picture of it in my profile, in the album.
