I checked out Ben's $100 or less card thread(that's where the info is), and it states that they both get 4700 PPD.

Yea, the 9600GSO and 8800GS are the exact same thing. Same core (g92) Memory, shader and core clocks.
My 9600 GSO is putting out ~5000 ppd now with a moderate OC on it (unless I get another of those 511 point WU).

WOW 4 WU in 3 hour period!!! How fast are you doing 1% with them? I average about 1:45/% on my 9600gt (oc'd to 750/1900/900) and I'm trying to find the right combo for the card to run. It have 100% of that cpu to use and temps are 57c at 70% fan.

I am looking into a cheap 2/3 sli board right now myself but they ain't cheap. I guess that I'll have to save some money and wait for the right moment to pounce on any online deal that I can grab. I am getting a better gpu for this rig in a few weeks but I guess I still can run this 96gt at the same time.
