See how much CPU usage is happening with one, two, and four GPU folding. AMD Quad-cores are not that expensive if this is the case.
When you run Vista, each GPU2 client only uses 7% of a core. I could have them all running off of one core, but I actually have them all sharing both cores. Right now, Task Manager shows that the GPU's while folding are only using about 40% of the CPU. I don't believe that they are choking, since it's not even using 50% of the CPU.

What's the word on F@Hmon for each GPUs PPD?

I'm looking to purchase this same setup but if something doesn't seem right I'll have to reconsider parts.

Pretty sure the issue with PPD is the newer WU's.. they cut production ~20-40% depending on GPU. They have affected my PPD as well..22-26k average with all rigs folding..turned to ~15-18k average with new WU's and new core.

I think that the optimization is using the GPU cores more effectively now..as I have noticed increased temps with new core and WU's..as well as reported OC's having to be lowered for many users..due to unstable machine errors..potentially related to heat output.

**off topic a bit:

I have hit a max PPD on watercooling + vmod for the 8800GS.. 6380 PPD. This possible with shaders at 2214mhz. Better cooling is required for more PPD/shader speeds..of course.

With good w/u's fahmon shows 4800 PPD, with the new w/u's fahmon shows 2400 PPD. The new w/u's cut the PPD in half.

Well I guess that it all, more or less, makes sense with the numbers then.

Everybody else is getting hit with them too though so it's not all bad.

And the Community_Project just showed up in my overtake sights. It's blazing up the rankings.

That explains a lot right there! I'm not overly fond of the bloatware known as Vista. I mean, 1GB just to load up the OS? That is sick! Or at least makes me sick...

Thanks for the info, gibson!
