e2180 plus $100. also might be nice to compromise and ship both at the same time, that way we'll both be out of our main rigs for a few days

Only dualcore id consider trading + $100 for a Q9300 would be something like E7300 or a E5300 or something similar .Good luck.Im sure someone will hook you up.How well does that Q9300 OC?Maybe you could sell the Q9300 and just buy a cpu along with a router.I was able to sell my old Q9300 for $200

is there any reason why it would be hard for me to get more than $100? ... isn't an e2180 valued at ~$50?

I posted in the appraisal thread for my Q9300 and I got an estimate at $185 +_ shipping... ?!?!

What do you think that the Q9300 is worth to want a CPU plus a minimum of $100 cash?

MicroCenter is currently selling a brand new Q9400 for $179, which means that to make this deal feasible, the traded processor would have to be worth less than $50. The only CPU's that may even be worth trading would be Celerons.

I was thinking that myself. The price difference on newegg between the q9300 and the e8500 is only sixty bucks...

I don't think the e2180 plus a hundred bucks would be a fair trade though--maybe an e2180 plus a buck twenty?

OP--how about my e2180 plus $120? That about equals a retail q9300.

If interested, would it be possible to ship my cpu first, but pay the remainder after receiving the q9300?

yeah that sounds fair, although is it possible for you to send like $25 now through paypal and the cpu? I need like $25 to pay off my SF4 collector's edition... the rest can be sent after I send you tracking information?

Do you have any heatware or other forum feedback? If so, I can probably manage payment after your receive the CPU.
