Hey CD,

What is the trick to removing the top panel from the Nine Hundred? I have tried on two occasions with no luck.

I can get the rear loose (molded plastic clips which engage the metal) but I cant get the front to let go. Are there "clips" in the front too? If so, how do you get to them to "disengage" them?

A good question.

There are two tabs in the front and they can be released with a long slender object like a file or 12" steel ruler. THey are released by being pushed forward. DO not forget that you must also remove two small screws from the roof of the case to release the fan from the top panel--the fan is also screwed to the plastic top so you gotta loosen the screws inside the case to get it loose.

It helps to either do this under bright light or have a lil flashlight to peer into the slot between the top of the optical and roof of the case.

The release by pushing them forward a smidge--not too hard--they will break.

Here is some more on the paint work so far...

I painted the chassis with Duplicolor bumper black...

The top, Fan, Front bezel and PSU are Red.

I think the Black/Red contast is going to be a head turner.

I ran out of red which is just as well--the paint makes the plastic soft--I do not want to over do it.

Not bad for a first coat.

That is pretty cool CD, that black and red made me instantly think of a black widow lol. That's what you should call it!

Good job so far, I am also in the process of modding my Antec 900. Hopefully I get my watercooling installed soon so I can post some pics.

Are you planning on cutting a hole in the mobo tray and routing the wires through the back. I highly suggest it
