Maybe once I go back to a single card I'll move back to the case or when I built a second rig I'll use it, but right now with all this hot hardware I just can't use it

All you need is a 4 1/2 hole saw, a drill and some patience. I bought a nice grill cover from frozencpu to keep things looking fresh. Seriously though, this case with a blowhole will cool exceptionally well. You could even add 2x120mm blowholes on top. Now that would certainly keep your xfired 4870's happy.

I could do that, except then my 2nd card wouldn't fit, not enough space between the top of the case and the card

With my 2nd card mounted it really wouldn't do any good even if I could fit a 20mm fan up there. I can just "suffer" with my P180B for now

How are you mounting those mid-fans? Does the case come with a bracket or is there a nice trick to do such job?

I modified the back of an antec 1200 drive cage fan holder to allow me to mount the fan on the rear. I then used zipties to mount two fans together.
