those little leds in the controller are a ***** to solder. i did the same thing to my faceplate buy blocking the memory card ports with fiberglass filler. damn i thought i was being original.

LOL i flushed the memory card slots on mine too..not very original as i thought first..but that does look really nice. Yea i have to say though, those SMDs are a really PITA to solder on the pad. Also how long did you allow the paint to cure for on the controller?? Wouldnt want such a nice paint job to wear off or leave finger prints in. BTW can you get bi-colour smds?..if not, how would you know your getting a RROD..or BLOD in your case.
