here is a diagram of my current case configuration.....
__________________along with a diagram of my soon - to be configuration I feel that it is already too hot(it may be due to my current HSF) I am putting a Tuniq tower on it on monday, and I will have to remove the side mounted 80mm fan to make the tuniq fit...... I am trying to make this work(without getting a new case...) any suggestions??? with an ambient of 71F (21C) i run about 27-30C case temp and about 37-39C cpu at idle 60-66C cpu under load If i open the side case panel.... ~22-24C case temp ~32-37C cpu at idle ~58-62C cpu under load sorry the diagrams are a little misspaced.... but they are close enough that you can get an idea Code:
CURRENT SETUP -------------------------------- | | ^80MM | | | | OUT | | | ----------- | | -------- | | | 80MM| | |----| | IN | | |<- | | *** | | |120| -------- | | MM| | |OUT| | |----| | | | | --------| | |2x80mm| | | <-IN | -------------------------------- - will not fit with upcoming tuniq tower..... 120MM = 79 CMF 4x80MM = 25 CMF each Code:
AFTER TUNIQ SETUP -------------------------------- | | ^80MM | | | | OUT | | | ----------- | | | |----| -------- | |<- | | <---- | | |120| |120MM | | | MM| |tuniq | | |OUT| |tower | | |----| -------- | | | | --------| | |2x80mm| | | <-IN | -------------------------------- ![]()

I've never found the side-panel 80mm fans to be much use myself, Although they do probably help stock fans. I think airflow will be fine the way you propose to layout your case

Make sure you have no wireing around the fans either because that will stall airflow and flux air around the machine, cable management is a big thing when it comes to good airflow in your case.

GREAT SUCCESS!!! HIGH FIVE!!! ![]() and the AS5 hasn't even had time to cure yet!!!!! 3.6ghz -- here i come!!!! hmm, case temp is 26C at load(guess those fans were good for something..... but the cpu is so much cooler!!!!!
