How well do these things cool four drives? seems like that wouldn't do that good of a job. I am going to buy one so any input is appreciated.

Considering it holds four hard drives, I'd tend to think it wouldn't cool all that well. You'd be much better off with a hdd cage which holds three.

The Coolermaster uses these 4-3 modules and it cools the HHD's alright. my drives are at 25.29.27(internal) and 36(external)

I have the Lian Li Expansion Module. It actually dropped my temps by 2C with three hard drives in there before I started upping volts.

Just ziptie a fan to a normal HDD cage. You could get a better fan than that has for cheaper.

But it lacks soft HDD mounting (unlike Lian Lis) so HDDs won't be quiet. I think codered meant 3x5.25" sized module... In three to 2x5.25" module HDDs are actually more tightly spaced than in 3x5.25" module for four. Actually Lian Li EX-33 even allows installing/removing HDDs from rear without removing module from case. (but HDDs aren't fastened securily enough for moving case much) |

I guess i am just looking for a solution for my soon to be big raid 5. 10 3.5 drives in my case wouldn't be a stretch in the slightest.
