Case / component cleaning using 'dust off'

New to Overclock.net

Not 100% sure this is the right place for it, but does anyone know if the compressed gas 'Dust off' is safe to use for cleaning the insides of a case and components?
__________________It states on it's info that precautionary measures should be taken to avoid static, which left me wondering slightly... Unfortunately didn't realise that it wasn't just compressed air until I got it home :E

I believe that the canned air will leave some residue but I dont think it is a major issue. I just use an air compressor since I have one.

Just make sure to follow the directions on the cans on those things.
__________________Hold it upright. Blast outside of the case a few times first. Only blast in short bursts and never just hold the trigger. And so on...
