Default Case / component cleaning using 'dust off'

Not 100% sure this is the right place for it, but does anyone know if the compressed gas 'Dust off' is safe to use for cleaning the insides of a case and components?

It states on it's info that precautionary measures should be taken to avoid static, which left me wondering slightly...

Unfortunately didn't realise that it wasn't just compressed air until I got it home :E

Great, thanks, just left me wondering a bit after reading the packaging.

I believe that the canned air will leave some residue but I dont think it is a major issue. I just use an air compressor since I have one.

Just make sure to follow the directions on the cans on those things.

Hold it upright.

Blast outside of the case a few times first.

Only blast in short bursts and never just hold the trigger.

And so on...
