Default Shipping My Rig?

Hey,

So how should I go about shipping my rig to another state? I'm visiting (flying) my mom for a month for my baby sister's delivery, and there's a 24" monitor waiting there for me.

I'm thinking that I should yank out my GFX and heatsink and pack them in my luggage (granted, they might think that it's a bomb when it goes through the scanner) and putting the case/everything else in the box that my case came with and plenty of packing peanuts.

I think that I'd ship it via Ground, I don't think it's a good idea to have it jumping up and down in some cargo container 30,000 feet in the sky.

Your thoughts? Questions/Concerns?

~Gooda~

i had my TT armor shipped. i knew it was gunna be moving so i kept the original box and shipped the thing as a whole. (i also drained the LCS). No damages for me since the original box's big foamy pieces are tough.

Ground delivery would probably be your best bet.

Carry it in your hands?
Idk. you can dismantle the case and but in a suitcase and you can carry the internal stuff in a bookbag, just make sure its wrapped in an antistatic bag

Ehhh...I'm no CyberDruid...I don't think I could pull that off. Knowing my luck, I'd probably lose a few pieces and be screwed.

What do you think my rig would weigh? Sans the GFX and heatsink...

Quoting UPS and Fedex right now...I put in ~20lbs...not that bad to ship it actually...

Thats a huge case, a xbox 360 weighs 12lbs according to MS so a full computer case should easily weigh 3-4x that so I'll say 30lbs
