Default [How-To:] Have better temps and airflow on your CM690

Well, I created a thread a while back and I had super crazy temps, but with the help of Wolfy and other users, I managed to decrease my temps by a long notch.
Enjoy

Ok, before I had this Fan Setup:

1 INTAKE FAN ON THE FRONT

1 OUT-TAKE FAN ON THE BACK
1 OUT-TAKE FAN ON THE SIDE PANEL

I placed the side fan on Exhaust because on Intake it would make an hell of a noise.

Temperatures Old vs New

Old:
CPU:
Core 1:45
Core 2:38
Core 3:38
Core 4:39
HDD: 36
Mother Board: 36
Graphics Card: 70

New:
CPU:
Core 1: 36
Core 2: 31
Core 3: 33
Core 4: 32
Graphics Card: 61
Motherboard: 34
HDD: 31

What I done to lower the temps like this:

I placed the Side Fan on the bottom and another 120MM fan on the top to create a secondary airflow inside the case.

What I believe to be the best placement for 4 Fans

1 INTAKE FAN ON THE FRONT

1 INTAKE FAN ON THE BOTTOM
1 OUT-TAKE FAN ON THE BACK
1 OUT-TAKE FAN ON THE TOP OF THE CASE ABOVE OF THE RAM MODULES

If you have only 3 fans, I suggest you to take the Side Panel fan and place it on the Top or on the bottom.

Pics of my System with the new fans placed:

Thank you for reading, and I hope this will help you with your KICK ASS CM690 <3

Now i have about 9 fans to place....
Have you tried with shrouds [fans without the fan hub/blades] - make any difference

I totally hate the Side Panel
The airflow coming trough it makes it noisy, and the temps with the fan there were not good either.

I preferred to create a secondary airflow

things you can add:
1. cut out all of the plastic honeycomb things.
2. put a fan in the drive bays.
3. cut out the stock honeycomb fan grills and replace them with the aftermarket metal fan grills.

I know about the grill stuff.
I was thinking about doing that too.

What is a plastic honeycomb thing?

This guide was a minimal guide to show what changing a fan and adding another can make.

Sure I could add:
Fill each hole on the case with Fans, and stuff like that.

It was meant to be simple and efficient.
