If you could, please do a test with your Big Boy case fan, by placing a light piece of paper (I used a sales receipt) over the fan grill while the fan is on high. Then, on a scale of 1 to 10, rate how much the piece of paper moved; 1 being almost no movement at all, 10 being the paper shot straight up into the air.

My Big Boy case fan, when set to high, would only rate as a 2 (maybe a 3, but that would be pushing it). I can set the sales receipt down onto the fan grill, and the air will barely pick up the receipt and blow it around in a circle, very slowly... until it gets to close to the edge of the case and falls over onto the floor. I'm concerned that the fan isn't working correctly. I've already sent in an information request to Antec, and I'm waiting to see if they have a test I can run to see how much CFM of air the fan is actually moving.

Again, any help is appreciated.
Big fans 180-230mm arnt designed to push air like some of the small ones. the 200mm 'big boy' is something like 135CFM on high, but the RPM's are fairly low.
sry if i sould like a dork, ive been up for about 18 hours when i took the vid.

If i remember later this afternoon ill post up pics of the evolution of my A900.

Stingerjg, that is exactly what I needed That is the same thing my Big Boy fan is doing, so I assume that it is working as intended. I heard you say that when you turned up the the RPM on your other rear exhaust fan, the CFM on the Big Boy went down because more air was going out through the other exhaust fan?

I'm pretty sure the 200mm fan moves as much CFM as it says it moves, it's just not concentrated into a stream of air. If you plave your hand over the TOP MIDDLE, you will not feel much air. Move your hand around the OUTER EDGES of the fan... that is where you will feel the most airflow.

I've had my Antec 900 for about a year now, and love it.

I also just opened the box on my new Antec 300 that I'll be using as my HTPC. So far, it seems super easy to work with

That's true, but even at the outer edges it didn't feel (or look, with the paper) like much, which caused the concern.

I've had 2 120mm tri-Cool fans not work for me on the lowest voltage setting [lowest speed] and I sent an RMA request to Antec. They ask for an invoice of purchase and the date of the QC stamp on the bottom of the inside of your case. Just give them that and they will mail out a new fan to you free of charge.

I hope this works for the 200mm one.

Make sure you let them know it's broken or something or they'll probably try to do stupid things before RMAing.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm ok though, I don't think the fan is malfunctioning. It sounds like it's working just like everyone else's.

Chose the 300 for my new computer and I'm glad I did!

I love it way more than my centurion 5
seems to be built sturdier and the "tool-less" option with the centurion was pretty lackluster

If you're thinking of buying this case, do it.
It's sexy and it' $50.

I have a 1200 with 1 extra fan in the little slot near the middle front fan.

Loving this case.
