I have a question for all of us Antec owners... has anyone found / figured out a way to clean the air filters on the front intakes without having to remove the side panels, pull the drive case out, etc?

Nope but what I did was I removed all the right side screws so there is none on the right side except for the CD/DVD screws and once I got to clean the filters I just unscrew the left side thats it.

QFT thats how I have mine too, it's not nearly as much of a hassle now.

I would try to install the fan/hdd cages opposite of each other w/one right side up and one upside down then have them stick out beyond the cdrom so that you can easily slide the filter out w/o removing anything and the same on the bottom. if you can not insert the fan/hdd cages upside down see if you can install the filter cartridge upside down.

Hope this helps,

N2G

Hmm, I'm going to have to think about this a bit. Might be time to draw up a plan for a mod, we'll see! Or, I'll just pop the cover off once a week when I'm cleaning house and do it. Might be easier! Thanks for the advice guys.

Yep the cleaning once a week may be easier then the Case mod but the gratification and ease of filter cleaning after you mod your rig will pay off dividends in the end. Please let us know what you decide to do and how it works out for you what ever option you go/w.

Antec 900 owner here

Loved it so much I bought 2

I had a Gigabyte...3D Aurora and I found it to be one of the most abysmally cooled cases I'd ever seen....

So I ended up ordering a 900 to swap my old rig into..

Then to save myself the hassle of pulling the entire old rig out of the case (Plus what would i do with it afterwards? since i was replacing the PSU, motherboard, processor and EVERYTHING) I just ordered a second one...

Best case I've ever had, though I'm thinking of getting a 1200 soon and switching out, I dont like how tight things are getting in there right now....4 HDDs right now, and i dislike how much they're blocking the cooling..
