Default Antec 1200 vs Cooler Master Cosmos S

I had decided to go with the Antec 1200 but then I thought what If I decided to upgrade to Core i7 and Asus Rampage II extreme (E-ATX motherboard) and I realized the 1200 only supports up to ATX. What is the community's thoughts and opinions on both case and which one is the better buy ?.

I have the 1200, I really like the case, although it really is more for cable management (I believe on the Cosmos it's not that great). But it has plenty of room and tool-less, so if you like that then I would go with it. Just remember, no matter what you get you'll probably think you should have gotten something else later.

I own and owned both.

the cosmos S has a better layout and design (especially for water cooling. you can mount an internal 360 rad without any modding required).

The antec 1200 has better air cooling capabilities.

The big negative against the cosmos S (which is why I sold it) is that you cannot use a tower cooler in conjunction with the 200mm door fan. Also its more expensive and includes far less fans than the antec 1200 (and no integrated fan controllers)

In summary, if I were watercooling the cpu, Cosmos S. If I were running strictly air cooled, the antec 1200.

I have read numerous complaints that when using big video cards the Antec 1200 can deny acess to some disk drives. So what I am wondering is where would I have more room the 1200 or the Cosmos-S.

?

I have a 4870X2 in my antec 1200 and there is still room for the fan cage on the back of the hdd cage.

One thing that does matter if you go crossfire is that there is more room below the second video card and the top of the power supply with the 1200 than with the cosmos.

I bought an Antec 1200 and it looks amazing it has plenty of space inside. I think you would be fine.

It's a really tough decision to make. If I got Antec 1200 that means that I cannot upgrade to the Asus Rampage II extreme and Core i7 because that motherboard is built specficially on an E-ATX basis.

Go for the 1200. Antec Fanboy commands you so.
