So I'm planning on buying the SILVERSTONE TJ07 with side window. I won't run water cooling though. Is it still a good case to cool my hot running GTX 285s?

TJ07 isn't the best for air cooling but it shouldn't be too bad I think you would be ok with that setup

The only intake fans are the rear 92mm, and since the video cards exhaust heat out of the rear and it has negative air pressure (so air is passively drawn in), the GPUs heat can be drawn back into the case. If modding/water cooling aren't your thing, skip the TJ07. Air flow is horrible.

Nope. As boredgunner stated. What you can do is getting a kama-bay or something at the front for intake and flip the rear fans. But the case is not really a good aircooler. Not out of the box.

I was replacing my 120mm x 25mm fan (with a 120x38) today, and finally remembered to take a couple pics...excuse me, it's a work in progress.

Shadow, I figured out if you remove the rubber channel around the top most CM hole you can fit that 8pin cpu power cable through there. At least I could anyways.
__________________I screwed up when I was routing my cables. Took off both fans like you said but routed cables in the slot/space between the back of the HDDs and where the fan mounts. This resulted in that fan not being able to mount. Will probably have to redo it sometime.

Silverstone is seriously pushing my buttons, I tried to email them from my yahoo and gmail accounts for months, then I used my work one and all of a sudden I get an answer. They redirect me to their US parts rep....who speaks engrish.
Here is how it progresses via email: Quote:

I know what you're talking about. I contacted customer/technical support in the US about whether or not a Silverstone 5.25" bay HDD rack would work in my Raven, and the their response was the only Silverstone accessories that would work with my case were the Raven edition mouse and the Raven edition external 2.5" portable HDD enclosure...I didn't even waste my time replying. I was dumbfounded in how little they actually know their products. That's why I bought a Lian Li HDD rack to mount into my 5.25" bay. And what do you know, it worked just fine!
