Hey everyone, I need to decide on a good CPU cooler and case.
__________________I need like a pretty slick, good looking, modern/professional case with proper airflow and plenty of space. Yes, looks are a bit important to me, but I still need proper functionality. None of that rough looking warrior cases like the Antec 1200 or HAF932, that's totally not my style although they are very good functionality-wise. Is there something as good as that but with better looks? I actually had the Armor+ and Cosmos S in mind, they both look good but I like the Cosmos S better when it comes to looks. It seems like a real steady, strong case, I've seen it in a shop and kinda fell in love with it, so I decided to do some reading on this one, only to find out that a lot of coolers won't fit. Is there any CPU cooler that will properly fit with the Cosmos S? I think the Zerotherm BTF92 OC might fit because it is one of the smaller coolers around, but is that one actually good? Are there other "small", great coolers for the Cosmos S? Do you know of any other "problems" with the Cosmos S? I mean, is it quiet, etc? My second choice would be an Armor+ but I'm not too sure about the looks of it, I'd probably want to go with an Ultra 120-Extreme because I hear that is one of the best coolers around, is this correct, or are there better/other good coolers around? What do you think I should go for, my budget is like $100 to $250. PS. I'm not thinking of doing water-cooling.

The Cosmos S is a very nice case, my friend has got one.
It will fit every air-hsf you can think about, i would recommend a Thermalright Ultra 120-eXtreme with a good fan. The case can be noisy and quiet, depens on how many and what kind of fans you put in it -FilluX

Considering the price, I say Armor. I got mine 3 years ago (not plus). It's pretty basic fulltower case, a lot like the original stacker. Cosmos is a case with a lot of features, they are good to have, but not necessary. At least they don't worth twice the price in my eyes.

The best cooler you can get that works well with the Cosmos S is the Thermalright SI-128 SE. I used one with my cosmos S for several months. It is only 4 C off the TRUE under load.

I would run with the Xigmatek S1283 IMHO.
Best cooler for the $$. Through on a Noctua fan or something of your liking that is a little quiter then the stock fan and you are in business.

Thanks for mentioning those coolers, they seem great and while I was searching for a comparison of the two, I found the following diagram, and I was quite shocked about this as I thought the TRUE was the superior cooler. The test was done with an overclocked QX9650. Found this at xbit labs. Check it out:

If you want to get your hands a little dirty, I recommend the CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000, with some modding of course, go to my post here to learn more about this case and check out my personal mod;
http://www.overclock.net/case-mod-wo...ing-guide.html Or the CoolerMaster Cosmos S revision which cost just a bit more; Go here and check out the difference between the Cosmos 1000 and the Cosmos S; http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ces...case,4653.html The CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 or S revision are some of the biggest cases I've ever seen, they should fit any CPU air cooler you can buy. Since I wanted the full experience, I bought the CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 and performed some fan additions and modding to improve GPU and overall case cooling. I could have bought some other case which did not look as cool, but I wanted a cool looking case and I went in with an intent not only to overclock, perform the 2HB Pencil VDroop, but I also wanted to mod my case!!!
