Only if they made more aftermarket ones, sigh.

Well I wasnt able to find any other than the one that CoolerMaster makes however I did find that the ones that cooler master makes has 4 holes each corner made for 5mm LED's, something I was never aware of

I'v heard complains that the front fan doesnt bring enough cool air into the case, so for its size, there is lack of fresh air circling in the case. Should i be worried about this?

Without it, my GTX 260 still idles at no more than 47 degrees Celsius. My 9800GT idles at no more than 43 degrees. The highest Furmark temp on my GTX 260 was 73 degrees Celsius (after a 1 hour run). My CPU idles at 33-37 degrees, and max load is only 46-49 degrees (Prime95).

Not to mention, if you'd sprung for high-pressure fans instead of LED Cooler Masters, temps would be even better. Personally I think fans are the one part of the case I DON'T want to come out of the box with LEDs; mainly because the ones that do are never as good as the fans that don't.
A note relating to that, the U1BX I have on my Hammer is quieter at full speed than the H1BX at full speed; not just lower pitch, but less actual noise. I never expected that, but am very pleased.

I should have those same LED CM fans tomorrow. Ordered 7 of them. Quieter and better airflow than my antecs. Quieter is what i am more interested in. I will be using them on my TRUE 120. Call me crazy, but they will be replacing my 2 Slipstream 110cfm fans. I am optimistic. I can run the slipstreams at max of 1900rps or turn them don to 1575 and i get almost the EXACT same CPU core temps under prime load. Very wierd. I am hoping to run the CM full blast with similar results. My vcore and OC are only moderate (3.8 at 1.25v) so i think i should be happy with the results. Will use better TIM this time around. Gonna put OCZ freeze on it instead of the chill factor 2 that came with the TRUE. Hoping it works out, cause remounting the TRUE is giving me haedaches just thinking about it!

I got my ATCS 840 earlier this week from Buy.com. I haven't had time to install anything in it yet but I've got it set up on my desk next to my Antec 1200 and was looking it over. It's definitely a great looking case for the price and even though it's big it's lighter than my Antec 1200 because of being all aluminum. The motherboard tray is also one of the best I've seen in a case. I only wish they would of used thumb screws for it and made it so that you didn't have to remove the side panels to get it out.
I do have a couple of gripes though. The first is of course the thin side panels which don't come on and off as well as I'd like. The plastic 3.5" removable trays for the hard drives are also pretty cheap because you can practically bend them in half at the middle. And I haven't had a chance yet to install a 5.25" DVD drive yet to see if the rumors are true about the case being a tight fit for bay devices. Also I found that one of the holes for the four screws that hold the motherboard tray in at the back of the case wasn't drilled straight and so the screw goes in at a slight angle and won't screw in flush with the case. Anyone else get one with a screw off like that? Last edited by burningrave101 : 06-28-09 at 10:37 AM |

I think the hard drive plastic trays are fine. They don't need to be more tough and expensive for what they will be used for. I do wish the side panels were a bit thicker, but they are not as thin as I thought they would be from all the comments. Just stick some noise dampening material on them and problem solved.

Some cheap sound deadening material from performance-pcs will help out a bit. I did that on mine, and it helped out some. I think the 3 layer stuff for ~$50 would be alot better. the cheap stuff is just cellular foam, but still makes a difference. Not that it matters anymore since i got a windowed side panel on the way though. I may even take a UV reacitve acrylic panel and add to the otherside for effects, and a bit more noise reduction. Not sure if it will help or not, but may give it a go.

Just a quick question, do the case fans have 3 pin motherboard connectors, or do they connect to the psu using a molex?
